Ramit and Arushi embrace during the garland exchange, her smile bright against his shoulder

Ramit & ArushiAn NRI wedding at Ramada Lucknow, part two

Part two of Ramit and Arushi's wedding at the Ramada in Lucknow: the wedding night, and before it the engagement and sangeet. Part one has the welcome, the black light party, the haldi and the mehendi.

This was a wedding built on a big scale. The sangeet had a huge sound and light setup, a live set from the Sufi fusion band HumSufi, and Bollywood actor and model Zulfi Syed on the decks as DJ. The wedding night was just as grand, from the baraat to the mandap.

By then we knew this family well. We had photographed Rhythm and Ritika's wedding, a birthday for their son, and Ramit and Arushi's pre-wedding shoot in Bangalore. At a wedding this size, knowing who matters most in a crowded room is half the work. It decides where you stand when the garlands go up.

Questions

Who performed at Ramit and Arushi's sangeet?

The Sufi fusion band HumSufi performed live at Ramit and Arushi's sangeet at Ramada Lucknow, followed by Bollywood actor and model Zulfi Syed as DJ. Both performed on an elaborate stage with a elaborated sound and lighting setup, the same stage used for the engagement earlier that evening.

Can you photograph a sangeet with a live band and stage lights?

Yes. At Ramit and Arushi's sangeet at Ramada Lucknow, the Sufi fusion band HumSufi played live and Bollywood actor and model Zulfi Syed took over as DJ, on a stage that moved through deep blue, purple, red and pink, with fog across the dance floor.

Stage light is the easier part. The colour keeps changing, so we work with it rather than against it, and on a few frames we slowed the shutter so the dancing blurs into the light.

The harder part is the crowd. When the couple and their families reach the stage, there is no second take. We had already photographed this family at Rhythm and Ritika's wedding, at their son's birthday and at Ramit and Arushi's pre-wedding shoot in Bangalore. So we knew whose faces mattered most, and where to stand when they arrived.

What events did Ramit and Arushi's wedding include?

Ramit and Arushi's wedding at Ramada Lucknow ran over seven events across a few days: a welcome, a blacklight party, the haldi, the mehendi, the engagement, the sangeet and the wedding. This part covers the last three.

The engagement and the sangeet shared one evening and one stage, the rings first and then a live set from HumSufi. The wedding night followed, from the baraat to the mandap. Covering a wedding of this scale means planning every event before the first one begins, so nothing in the later days is left to chance.

Read part one, the welcome, blacklight party, haldi and mehendi.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Bangalore?

Wedding photography with The Third Eye Photography starts at ₹2 lakh for two events: the wedding ceremony and reception. Couples who prioritise a more complete experience, personalised service, and broader coverage typically invest around ₹3.5 lakh. The final cost depends on the number of events and days, along with additional services such as wedding films, drone coverage, and albums.

We first understand your wedding plans, priorities, and expectations before recommending a package that fits. This way, you know exactly what your investment covers. Tell us your date and events to get a tailored quote for your celebration.

Is your wedding photography candid or posed?

Our wedding photography combines candid moments with beautifully posed photographs. We personally love candid images because they feel real, capture genuine emotion, and stand the test of time. But we do not believe posed photographs are any less meaningful.

The key is communication. We guide our camera shy couples, help them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and show them how a little direction can make a portrait look natural and effortless. Once they experience the difference, posing becomes something to enjoy rather than feel awkward about. We plan the couple shoots and group photographs in advance, so everything feels relaxed and organised on the wedding day.

We plan couple portraits and group photographs in advance, while leaving room for the unexpected moments that make every wedding unique. The result is a wedding story with the best of both worlds: genuine moments and portraits you will be proud to frame.

What should we ask a wedding photographer before booking?

Do not judge a wedding photographer only by their Instagram profile (follower count, a highlight reel or portraits) . Most photographers share their best, carefully selected images there. What you rarely see is the reality of a wedding: the crowds, the chaos, several things happening at once, and guests trying to get their own pictures.

Ask to see two or three complete wedding galleries. Look at how the photographer works in crowded spaces, handles difficult lighting, finds clean compositions, and captures expressions and moments amid all the activity. Pay attention to their artistic perspective, the way they use light, and their editing style, including colours, tones, and warmth. Are the photographs simply documenting what happened, or do they have a distinct point of view?

A complete gallery tells you much more than a collection of Instagram highlights. It helps you understand how the photographer sees a wedding and whether their style is one you connect with. If you love the work across an entire wedding, not just a handful of selected photographs, you can make a far more informed decision.

At The Third Eye Photography, our wedding stories give you a closer look at how we document celebrations beyond the highlights. For example, Ramit and Arushi's wedding at Ramada Lucknow includes their blacklight party in Lucknow and other events, giving you a better sense of our work in real wedding conditions. .

How early should we book a wedding photographer?

Most couples enquire with us 6 to 12 months before their wedding. We take on a limited number of weddings each year, with October to February being particularly busy. If your wedding falls during these months, it is worth getting in touch well in advance to secure your date.

For weddings outside Bangalore, planning ahead also gives us time to coordinate travel and coverage across events and venues. Check your date.

How many photographs will we get from our wedding?

Every wedding has a minimum number of photographs, agreed with you and written into your booking confirmation. We set it once we know the number of events, the guest count and the family members you want covered, so there is no fixed count across weddings. A wedding with a haldi, a mehendi, a sangeet and a reception gets a different minimum from a single ceremony.

What happens if we postpone or cancel the wedding?

25 percent of the total fee is non-refundable. When you book, we block your date and the photographers for it, and we pay them to keep it free. That payment is what the 25 percent covers, so it is not returned if the wedding is cancelled.

If you need to postpone, tell us the new date as early as you can. We will try to move your booking to it, which depends on whether we are free on that date. If we are not, the 25 percent is forfeited and not refunded. We would rather say this plainly now than promise a date we have not checked. Check your date.

How long do we have to download our wedding photographs?

You receive your photographs on Google Drive, and on your own hard drive as well if you give us one. Drive links typically stay valid for three months. If you need longer, tell us and we will agree an extension with you.

Your guests and relatives have their own way in. An app with AI face recognition holds the photographs for social media, and each guest takes a selfie and finds the pictures they appear in. They have one month from the day we upload the images to download them.

We do not delete files on a fixed date. We follow up with you, check that you and your family have downloaded what you want, and remove the files only after several reminders.

Can you photograph rituals that start before sunrise?

Yes. We have photographed rituals that begin before sunrise, some as early as 4 AM. We plan our arrival around the actual ritual timing your family gives us, not a generic call sheet.

Can we book a wedding photographer in India while living abroad?

Yes. We regularly work with couples who live abroad and are planning their weddings in India. The process is straightforward, with two calls scheduled around your time zone. The first is to understand your plans, flow of events, event timelines and expectations. The second focuses on the details, including the rituals, family photographs, and venue logistics.

Payments are made in INR through bank transfer, UPI, Google Pay, or PhonePe. Ramit and Arushi, who live in the USA, planned their wedding at Ramada Lucknow with us. Read more about NRI wedding photography page.

Can you cover a wedding that moves between cities?

Yes. We plan the photography coverage and travel around your wedding schedule, including the logistics of moving between cities and venues. Many of our weddings span several days and involve multiple events. Ramit and Arushi, for example, had their pre-wedding shoot with us in Bangalore before celebrating their wedding over seven events at Ramada Lucknow.

During our planning calls, we work through the dates, locations, event schedule, and travel arrangements so the coverage is organised well before the wedding begins.

Who pays for travel and stay at a wedding outside Bangalore?

You do. Travel, food and stay for our team at a wedding outside Bangalore are covered by you, and they sit outside the quote. Once the wedding is over, we send you the full figure with a breakdown, so you can see what each part cost. Tell us your cities and dates and we plan the travel around your schedule.

Do you photograph weddings outside Bangalore?

Yes. We photograph weddings across India and internationally. Over the years, we have covered weddings and events in Delhi , Lucknow, Jaipur, Himachal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai, Madurai, Kerala, Goa, Pune, and Chikmagalur. We have also photographed weddings and events in the UK, Singapore, Dubai, and Trancoso, Brazil.

Every location brings its own setting, traditions, and logistics, and we plan the coverage around the wedding and its events.
