Sunay and Anisha held the sangeet of their Shetty wedding at Palace Garden Resort in Mangalore, under strings of lights. A welcome sign with their names stood among the lights, and a long wall outlined in lights rose behind a stage dressed with a flower frame and a round floral ring.

People danced on the stage in pairs and in groups, with sparks and confetti going up around them. Two teams pulled on a rope in a tug of war. Someone applied henna to a hand at a table. Sunay and Anisha sit on a white bench in many frames, clapping, turning to look at each other and watching what came next.

The couple danced on the stage as well, and one frame catches a leap into the air. A neon sign reading #LoveHappens, a green wall and a vintage scooter made a corner for photographs, and there are portraits of the couple on the lawn and along a carpeted path.

Is your wedding photography candid or posed?

Our wedding photography combines candid moments with beautifully posed photographs. We personally love candid images because they feel real, capture genuine emotion, and stand the test of time. But we do not believe posed photographs are any less meaningful.

The key is communication. We guide our camera shy couples, help them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and show them how a little direction can make a portrait look natural and effortless. Once they experience the difference, posing becomes something to enjoy rather than feel awkward about.
