What Couples Said

After their wedding

He Said Years Will Pass. But Good Photographs Become More Valuable With Time.

That was my first phone call with Anand. As a bride you already have too much going on. You should not be worrying about angles, whether your family made it into the frames, or whether your photographer is awkward around you. Anand and his team handle all of that so you can be present at your wedding. By the wedding day, I already knew we were in good hands.

Five Minutes Into Meeting Anand, the Search Was Over.

I had shortlisted a few and started making calls. Five minutes into meeting Anand, I knew I wanted him to shoot my wedding. He puts in real effort to know our story and our family before the wedding. On the day, he was there for everything. He brings a reassuring presence and works comfortably with both couples and families.

Every Time I See My Wedding Photos, I Relive the Day.

Anand does not just click pictures. He documents moments and emotions in a way that lets you relive them. With minimal inputs and the chaos of a wedding, he covered all the important people and events. What stood out was his consistency, attention to detail, and ability to handle a complex wedding smoothly.

He Sought Out the People Closest to Me. Even My Grandmother Who Hates Photos.

For my wedding at Bangalore, Anand did the candid photography. He himself identified and met the people closest to me, made them feel at ease, and shot their pictures. They turned out to be the best photos of my wedding. My grandmother who hates photos has her nicest pictures from that day. He also honored the solemnity of a traditional Coorg Kodava ceremony, which made the event more meaningful for us.

Questions

What happens at a roka ceremony?

A roka is a pre-wedding ceremony at which two families formally announce and accept a marriage match. The word comes from the Hindi rokna, to stop, because the families stop looking for other matches. It is most common among Punjabi, Sikh and other North Indian families and is usually small. There is often a short prayer, tilak applied to the forehead, an exchange of sweets, dry fruits and gifts, and blessings from the elders. At Aseem and Kashish's roka at The Elite in Narasapura, guests took turns on a yellow sofa on the hotel terrace. They applied tilak to Aseem, and Kashish opened a velvet box holding a necklace and earring set with a green stone. Much of the day also went into laughing, hugging and dancing by the pool. Because a roka is made of small gestures between a few people, we stay close to the hands, the tilak and the faces, and step back for wide frames of the terrace and the guests around them. That way the page shows both the ritual and the people who came to share it.

Where did Aseem and Kashish hold their roka?

Aseem and Kashish held their roka on the rooftop terrace of The Elite, a member of Radisson Individuals, in Narasapura near Kolar, Karnataka. The terrace has a pool with green fields beyond it, a yellow sofa in front of a leafy wall where the ceremony took place, and a flower arch where the couple sat for portraits. Flower letters spelling K and A stood at the edge of the pool. After dark the terrace was lit with string lights and the letters were ringed with sparklers.

Did Aseem and Kashish also have a wedding reception?

Yes. Aseem and Kashish also held their wedding reception at The Leela Palace in Bengaluru. The roka was a different kind of day, held outdoors on a hotel terrace with a pool and green fields beyond it, so the two events look very different in photographs.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Bangalore?

Wedding photography with The Third Eye Photography starts at ₹2 lakh for two events: the wedding ceremony and reception. Couples who want broader coverage typically invest around ₹3.5 lakh. The final cost depends on the number of events and days, and on additions such as wedding films, drone coverage and albums. Tell us your date and events for a quote.

How do we find out if you are free on our date?

Send us your date and city, and we tell you plainly whether the date is free. If it is taken, we say so rather than leave you guessing. Check your date.

Can we book a photographer for a Bengaluru wedding while we are living abroad?

Yes. We plan with couples who live abroad over calls scheduled around their time zone. More on how it works is on our NRI and destination wedding photography page.
